Canada’s largest AI competition

Using artificial intelligence (AI) as an underlying technology, teams must strive to develop revolutionary solutions to a meaningful and significant issue.

The goals of the Leaders Prize at True North are to solve major societal or industry problems, identify leading AI talent within Canada, inspire new students to think about a career in AI and help connect AI talent to career opportunities in Canada.

The official launch and the problem statement will be announced at the True North conference in June 2019, and final pitch competition and awards celebration will be held at the following True North conference in June 2020. The Leaders Prize at True North is open to Canadian residents, including international students living in Canada.

Today, Communitech is a public-private innovation hub that supports a community of more than 1400 companies — from startups to scale-ups to large global players.
